Visage: Information-Centric Data Visualization

Visage is a novel and powerful environment for exploring, analyzing, and visualizing information. Its generic set of data navigation and manipulation tools and scripting language provide rich capabilities for developing highly customized applications for data-intensive domains.

Visage displays are arrangements of elements that can be broken apart by users and directly manipulated, giving users the sense of "getting their hands on the data." The information-centric approach empowers the user to perform actions directly that would traditionally require extensive knowledge of numerous specialized interface features.

Visage is being developed by MAYA Design Group and Carnegie Mellon University. Check the Visage resources page for documentation, screen captures, and bug report information.
